There are two cozy cottages up on the hill surrounded by flower beds, large pine and birch trees. A short down hill stroll brings you to the beach area. There are two piers, a deck and lawn with lounge chairs and a camp firepit.
You will experience breathtaking sunsets.

The protected West Harbor is connected to the “big lake” and allows peaceful fishing. A 16ft steel row boat is available. If the wind blows 15-20 knots, there is great opportunity for wind surfing.

The quiet roads on Washington Island invite for bike rides and roller blading. Bike rental is available. A gas grill is located near the two cottages. Close by are restaurants, in town and by the two marinas. Tennis courts, a 9 hole golf course, and horse back riding is also near by.

Large Cottage

The large cottage sleeps up to six people. There is a comfortable pull out couch and four bunk beds.The interior of cottage is cedar wood. A stone fireplace with wood burning insert comforts you during cooler times. In addition electric heaters can be used. It has a full bath room with bath tub and shower. There is a flat ceramic cook top, toaster oven and toaster, coffee grinder and coffee maker, a small fridge, microwave, cookware and china.

A covered stone patio is attached to the cottage.

Small Cottage

Small cottage sleeps two, bedroom has one full size bed and in living room a pull out love seat which can accommodate a third person. Bathroom with shower, table for three, small fridge, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee grinder and coffee maker. Also cook ware and china.

A new stainless grill is in front of cottage. The picnic table is next to it.

Linens, bath towels, and hair dryers are provided for both cottages.

Beach Area

The crystal clear water is comfortably warm in summer and invites for a refreshing swim.
If the sun is too warm, there are shady resting places under pine and cypress trees.

Rental Rates

$110 for two guests per night at large cottage. $15 for each additional person.
$80 for two guests per night at small cottage plus $15 for third person.
A deposit for one night stay is required. A confirmation will be sent after receiving deposit.

Cancellation policy: 14 day notice required for a refund. If less notice is given, a refund will be granted if we rent the cottage. A $10 service fee applies to all cancellations.

Early Departure: You are responsible for all nights reserved.

From ferry dock drive 1.5 miles on Lobdell Point Road, shortly after passing gas station on left, turn left onto Old West Harbor Road. After .9 miles you will see West Harbor on the left and sign for Summer Place on the right.
