Welcome back in time…
and enjoy a rare and remarkable retreat in the midst of Washington Island’s wooded shore front in peaceful Detroit Harbor. The cabin was constructed in the 1880’s in Michigan and rebuilt on these three quiet wooded acres in the bay one hundred years later. The log cabin is a tranquil sanctuary from the fast pace of our modern day world.
You can see and hear a wide range of waterfowl and birds as well as watch the boats and white swans glide across the water. It is truly “North of the Tension Line”.
A Destination
From leisure time indoors to exciting outdoor activities such as canoing, kayaking, fishing, golf, swimming, or enjoying the talent at the Performing Art Center or other musical venues. The White Swan is truly a place for creativity, meditation and relaxation. At the end of the day, throw a salmon on the bbq, sit on the porch in a rocking chair, relax on a rock around the firepit making s’mores, or in front of the dvd enjoying a movie. It’s the perfect spot to discuss the day’s activities or plan tomorrow’s adventures.
Feel free to tie up your own boat at the dock. Fido can take time out in the kennel attached to the garage while you explore all that Washington Island has to offer.
