Like any small town, Washington Island has a downtown area(located 2.5 miles from the ferry landing) with a general store, Post Office, restaurants, medical clinic, hardware store, taverns, and gas stations. The Island Ferry landing area has our welcome center, bike and moped and boat rentals, tour trains and restaurants. You will also find shops and services throughout this 20+ square mile island.
