Chartered in 1928,the present stone building was built in 1948. Across the road is our Stavkirke (Stave Church) a replica of one in Borgund, Norway, and Prayer Path through the woods.

Sunday worship: 10:45 AM.
Sunday school at 9:30.
Additional Sunday service in July and August at 8:00 AM.

Wednesday evening at the Stavkirke at 7:00

St. Michael’s Chapel

In the 1800’s constructed as the Washington Harbor School. 1900’s moved to the present location and became Koyen’s General Merchandise Store. 1964 purchased by the Lehman family and transformed into St. Michael’s Chapel. 2004 renovated to serve the next generations of Island Friends. Open to the public.

This is a historical church, no services are actually held there.

The Washington Island Unit of the Door County Library system offers a great selection of books, magazines, and tapes for everyone. During the summer months a Children’s Reading Program is offered. Computer Access and wifi are also available.
